Pushed Through

Well I have not been feeling the best this week but I still forced myself to go workout last night. I really wanted to do at least 3.1 miles or more. So, I got off work early, took a nap, and decided to go workout. I felt okay when I started, half way through I felt like I was going to die and almost stopped. I went to slow the treadmill down and I just thought.... "No! I have to do this!" So, I kept going and at about 2.9 miles I started feeling good and kept going until 3.4 miles! Now, I don't know if I should have done that but I did! And I was so proud to have run 3.4 miles. I was feeling good until about an hour after and then it hit me. But I did it and I felt good about that.
I found out there is a 10k here in September and so I am going to run that and I am trying to find a mini triathalon close but so far none have posted.
Stats:
3.4 Miles
Time: 45 mins
Speed 4.5-4.6
How are you doing with working out? Anybody......Anybody.....

Gosh Meliss.......I am so proud of you. I have been wanting to do some great things so that I could share with you but the classes I take on campus don't start until next week. So NEXT WEEK I am getting back in the game. I just haven't been able to get a jump start since Christmas but am hoping the classes next week will do the trick.

Anyway, I just love you and am so impressed by your determination.

YAY Melissa!! I am so proud of you! I think pushing through and pushing yourself when it gets tough is really important... as long as you don't feel like you are seriously going to have a heart attack. Great job!
Exercise has been tough lately- I only ran once in NM and I went today in Utah- the elevation is killer! Going from 203 feet to over 5000 feet- yikes. I still did 4.5 and felt great. I hope I can go a lot more here because it is so beautiful.
I can't believe you are already over 3 miles. I think I only ran three miles each time for four weeks before I decided to venture onto more. You are amazing. Keep up the good work!
