7.5 miles

Today was my long run day. I was planning on running 8 miles straight but I only could do 7 because the YMCA was closing and so they kicked me out. So, then I ran outside for 1/2 mile and decided to warm down. I was so bummed because I actually RAN the WHOLE thing and I felt so good!!! I could have done 8 miles! And I was trying so hard to get the 8 miles in but I didn't want to go too fast. After they told me that they were closing I wanted to run some more but at that point it was hard to get back into the rhythm. So, i was disappointed but I still did 7.5 miles! And I did not walk or stop(except for 10 seconds when the treadmill shut down at 1 hour and then when i got kicked off the treadmill). I could not believe that I ran the whole time! I felt so good. About mile 6 I started feeling the pain but just ran through it. I took it out at a good pace and just kept at that pace the whole time. My heart rate was good and never went over 170. I ate an energy bar before I ran and I know that helped a ton!

So, I realize this post is a few weeks old now but.... you're my hero!!! Seriously, 7.5 miles!!! I think you've motivated me enough to try the couch to 5K program.
