Tough night


Tonight was a tough run for me. After being sick, it has been hard for me to get back in the swing of things... especially running.


I started on the track... did 1 mile. My knees and feet were hurting because the angle of the track. i know that sounds stupid but sometimes when I run the track, since it is a circle, my knees and sides of my feet start to hurt. And I just felt like I had no energy. I felt like quitting at one mile but knew I needed to do more. So since I was having a hard time keeping pace and keeping motivated, I decided to go back to the treadmill. I then ran 3 miles. I did have to stop twice in between miles because my heartrate was getting way too high but I only walked for about .10 of a mile then started running again. Overall, I felt pretty good after I finished the 4 miles. It was a struggle for me to get started but it became a little easier as I kept running and telling myself "You can do it!".


I am going to run Friday and Saturday. My body is feeling out of shape and so I need to just keep going. I have to start running 4 times a week when I start training for the 1/2 marathon.
I know a couple of you are training for some races this spring! How are you doing? Let me know how it is going for you and if you have any tips! I can always use the advice!
